For the last 2 Fridays I had the opportunity to speak with all of the 8th grade girls at Osage Middle School. To each group of girls, I gave a presentation about the importance of being the best version of themselves they could be. I was able to explain that through your dress, actions, behavior and online-use, you send a message of who you are to others. I went further to explain, if you have confidence in yourself, your message will be positive and represent your best characteristics. At the end of each session, we were able to have some 'girl talk' and address many issues facing young women their age. I loved giving them my perspective, and I hope my message will help them as they enter into High school next fall. Great group of girls!
