I had the opportunity to help with the Roast of Joe Moseley. Mr. Moseley was the former prosecuting attorney in Boone County and former State Representative. He graciously subjected himself to ridicule by roasters including Senator Claire McCaskill. The Roast directly benefitted the Mid - Missouri Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and raised over $60,000. I spent the evening selling tickets and facilitating a paddle auction. This is one of the many creative fundraisers that the Alzheimer's Association plans and I am proud to support the organization as my personal platform.

HER Magazine is a cutting edge, female-focused Mid Missouri publication. I was asked to be interviewed about being a contestant in the Miss Missouri pageant so that woman across the state could see what pageant preparation looks like. I also had the chance to make a second workout video where I show some of my favorite excercises. Check them out!

Get High on Life Fair
Each Year, Eldon School System hosts the Get High on Life Fair. Its a way to get students excited about many opportunities in life without the need for things like drugs. My sister queens and I spent the day at our booth educating students on the Miss America Organization as well as having students take 'success quizzes'. These quizzes rated students' successful habits and personality traits. They also matched students with successful and ambitious individuals like Oprah and Bill Gates.
TRI ZOU TRIATHLON
On Sunday, I successfully completed my first triathlon-the TRI ZOU! It was a mini triathlon in which I swam 440meters, biked 14 miles, and ran 3 miles. Doing the triathlon wasn't just a personal accomplishment and goal for me, but with the pledges and support from family and friends I raised almost $200 for the Missouri Orthopedic Institute and the Children's Miracle Network. I love fitness and am very happy that I could use this area of my life to raise money for such worthy causes.
Kate Obenshain
Kate Obenshain is a leader among conservative women in the political world. She works with the Claire Boothe Luce Policy Institute for Conservative Women and we had the opportunity to host Kate as a speaker on Mizzou’s campus. She is currently the Vice President for the Young Americas Foundation and began a training program for emerging women leaders. In addition, she served as Virginia’s first female GOP chairman and is the mother of 4 teenagers. It was wonderful to work with Kate and her advice for young women leaders was extremely useful.
Mizzou's Pro Life Week 2011
Hi everyone! Ive been very busy the last week preparing and organizing Mizzou's first ever prolife week! Some of the events we put together were having a tree of life in the Student Center where students wrote why they loved life. Also during the week, we showed a pro life documentary, heard from a panel, and listened to a post-abortive couple who have given their life to telling others about their regret from abortion. The Students for Life and the Silent No More organizations greatly helped and made this week possible.
